Sustainable Energy for all (SE4ALL)

The project provides support the Department of Energy (DoE). It also involves identifying weaknesses in the DoE itself, proposing strengthening measures and assisting the DoE to implement those changes. EMRC are reviewing the alignment of the roles and responsibilities between the different energy sector institutions. This includes review of current legislation and policy and providing guidance to understand the existing energy sector governance and the environment for economic regulation of the power sector.

Specific tasks include recommending actions required to update the electrification master plan, assessing steps needed to establish a rural energy financing facility and identifying changes to law to enable the Energy Policy to be enacted.
